BSW - CAA - Morph Animation - IN PROGRESS

Morphing Animation

This is the first animation we had started this year with Nat Urwin. This is a work in progress post sharing my thoughts on the task. The morphing animation will show at the end a portrait of my face, morphing into a hot dog, into a sloth and finally back to my face.

Luckily I have already had some experience with the animate software from my foundation years, so I knew the very basics. I had to note the short cut keys again however as that left my head over the lockdown period.

I have had no problems with this animation so far other then the fact of only just as I am writing this post being able to work from home. I have only just got this computer set up and running and have only just downloaded all the software I need. So tomorrow on Wednesday I will hopefully have this completed and ready to show you all!

Bellow are the frames consisting of the subjects of the animation and at the end is a progress frame which I found funny!

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
