Zenobia Final Drawing 1
This first image shows the first digital painting I completed and is an establishing shot of the city. This means you are looking at the city from a far away view looking into it, establishing what you might expect!
I chose this view from being inspired by an image I saw of a mountainous landscape after researching dry terrain whilst creating my influence map. I saw in my head immediately what I wanted the basic premise of this drawing to look like and where the city would sit.
After creating the background of this image I realised I had 'accidently' created a new style of drawing that I had never used before with the block colours and bold lining. I like this style as it it a efficient way of digitally drawing. I was stuck after the completion of the background and encountered my first big problem. I had all the ideas in my head but I needed Simon to help me with laying them down and he showed me a way of laying down the composition so the drawing was most aesthetically pleasing and easy to read!
I really like how this drawing turned out as it is the first fully rendered digital drawing I had completed.
