BSW - CAA - Maya Farm Scene Complete

 Maya Farm Scene

Here is the finished render of my farm scene for the toolkit one tutorial. I enjoyed creating this scene from start to finish and have learned so much independence using the software.  The Second image shows the scene unfinished at the point of before the final lighting and refining. I wanted to put it there as a comparison between almost finished and finished as there is such a big difference to be made in the refining stage of the rendering process.

I have learned a lot about the tools and different setting in Maya and I now have the confidence to be able to transfer those skills into creating my own scene for the second project of toolkit one. I really like how it turned out and like the subtle differences between my scene and the scene I was following of Alans.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
