BSW - CAA - Maya Organic Form Character 2

 Organic Form Character

I am at the end of the second lesson in this organic form tutorial by Simon. I am enjoying modelling this character and am started to lock down my knowledge of creating these different forms using different techniques. I am adding my own small twists to this character as I want to show that I am following the tutorial but also that I can take and apply things learned from the lesson to my work.

I chose to add horns and spiked teeth. This goes more with the red theme of the monster that I want to create with a more sinister look...

The legs were really helpful to create - like every thing else. They taught me a way to create these different forms and cleared my head of the many weird ways that I thought it would be done!

When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
