BSW - CAA - Maya Street Scene Production

Maya Street Scene Production

So far today I have done a lot for the street scene mainly focusing on the lighting. I had implemented most of the lights in the windows and have played around with the samples, exposure and other settings for them to get the right glow effect and ambiance of the scene. I used point lights for the individual windows and lights on there own then for the other windows with the lights not 'on' I used the area light and scaled it to fit the place I want them.

I am very happy with how it is turning out so far and cant wait to get in the textures so I can have an idea of the final result before tweaking everything to finalise it! I wanted to do the lights before so i could see the textures as they would be at the end other then doing it the other way and having to tweak them later which is a long process.

I have also added some missing features like the lighting poles that travels down the scene to add depth and ambiance with the use of the pink lighting. I have also added the ribbons which were also included in the drawing that I missed.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
