BSW - CAA - KitBash Challenge

 KitBash Challenge

Today we were given the kit Bash challenge hosted by Tom and Meg. We had a load of assets to chose from and we had to use them to create and texture and finally render a robot. I had a lot of fun doing this as it gave me a break from the project work we have been doing. I think my robot looks really good and I used a lot of tools to get the different results hopefully being a bit more unique compared to others work!

My robot has a machine gun as one arm and a rotating hammer as the other whilst the main part of his body is a mouth. As he rolls along on his wheels the lights that also act as teeth flash whilst his mouth continuously chomps causing his prey fear. Hence the name Chomper!

When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
