BSW - CAA - Updated Story Plot

 Updated Story Plot

After a 1-2-1 with Simon, I have found that there is one thing that I really needed to change in my story to add context and to make it tie in all together. The lighthouse seemed to be part of the story but not crucial to it. In the story, the virus is sent down tot the lighthouse with no context and the military have to be sent to destroy it with the stuntman using the bomb. However this lighthouse could be replaced by a motor home or a animal shelter and make no difference to the storyline.

So I have come up with this idea...

The subject lighthouse has a one of a kind, ground breaking new invention that has made it break multiple world records. The bulb in the new lighthouse is the brightest most powerful bulb ever created and it lights up the seas for miles. This power and brightness that the bulb harnesses is recognised by many terrorist groups as being a source of power for them selves and will get there groups name out there to be feared by everyone.

The terrorist group has been researching this new strain of the COVID virus for years after the first strain, COVID-19 came out in 2019. But they have never had the resources to evolve it and put it to use... This is until this new lighthouse has been put in place! They will take the power and use it along with the virus to grow it and infect the new world! The lighthouse has been build close to a major city to protect and guide the large ships into the new super port built to allow many more trades. The year that this story is set is around 2028 and the virus has been cured in many 1st world countries however still in many poorer 3rd world countries, COVID is still being suppressed.

After the terrorists realise this, they waste no time to get to the lighthouse so they set up a plane to drop the virus directly into the lighthouse. This means they have to fly low to be accurate to make the one shot they have. This is when the previous plot starts and the military scanners will pick up this unregistered plane coming close to the lighthouse and decide that it is a threat after the pilot of the terrorist plane not answering comms or commands. They rush to get to the new invaluable lighthouse to protect it from any danger...

The story then carries on like previously written. I will be updating the storyboard and adding features like a representation of a big city in the background. The lighthouse will be more of a modern lighthouse made of metal and have a more industrial style to suit the power it needs to represent. It will sit on a man made island to show a new and modern look. It will be decently far away from the city so I will be able to focus on the story instead of the setting more. The military will land on the port instead of a cliffside so it shows that they are wanting to protect the city.

I really like this idea and I am very happy that I was able to tighten up the plot ready to be finalised and made! There is now context and reason behind the objects and will make it all more of a big reveal for the plot twist at the end.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
