Reflective Statement

I am so happy with how this project turned out and the way in which I have coped with it. I feel as though I have learned so much during it and can transfer new skills to better every piece of work in the future. One thing that I have taken from this that  is most important for my is to lose the perfectionist approach that I had before coming to the degree!

Final Pre Vis

I really enjoyed creating the 3d animation part of this project and I think I executed it really well being seamlessly matching my animatic. I had a strong dedication to do this as I wanted to show that I had trust in the work and planning I had done. For the characters, Green is the stuntman, Red are for the terrorists and grey are for civilians.

Story Boards

In this project I have created three different story boards that all show the drastic changes to my story. The first was really rough and I did this to work most efficiently. The second was a more finalised storyboard of the first rendition and took a lot longer then needed. Then the third is my final story board which was a mix of both the two qualities and made for the final story plot.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
