BSW - CAA - Galapagos Concept Art

 Galapagos Concept Art

I have not posted for the last three days as I have been working on this triplet of concept arts for the scenes and style of the setting for my animation. I have done an establishing shot, maybe used for the opening scene. A beach scene that shows land and sea and a rocky mountainous scene. I wanted to show the different biomes of the islands and how they may tie into my animation. I really enjoyed making these drawings and liked learning the style more. I found using ALOT of layers helps when creating these drawings as you don't have the trouble of overlapping colours which saves a lot of time correcting mistakes. I actually went into google earth to find these shots and used them as a reference to create the drawings I did.

Overall I like these concepts and they have gone the way I intended them to. It will be fun and interesting to see how I will translate the style into 3D and it will make me overcome problems and find solutions. This will hopefully not frustrate me but help me grow in my knowledge of the software.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
