BSW - CAA - Maya Animation Render issue

Maya Animation Render issue

I want to talk about the issues I have had with rendering my animation. I have inserted a file showing clips from the Arnold rendered animation. You will notice the noise and grain also the harsh, sharp shadow produced by the bird. It doesn't look good at all and is definitely no the standard I want to be producing considering the amount of thought and work I have put in. I could go through the render settings, change the lighting, add lighting, and up the quality, etc. However, this would dramatically take a toll on the time it would take to render the scenes and I would simply not finish...

I had set up a meeting with Simon who saw the problems and agreed that it would take too long for the quality Id get. He told me that I could use the hardware renderer just like the game design course, and it would achieve much greater quality and would almost perfectly fit the simplistic cartoon style that my animation followed. I went through it and changed the settings in the viewport renderer and then got to work.

Here is the quality the Arnold render was producing at 1 frame per minute.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
