BSW - CAA - Maya Finch Variations - Pre Viz

Maya Finch Variations - Pre Viz

I am currently working on my pre viz and have completed the first couple scenes and I am getting into the flow of it. I have just finished modeling the different variations in beaks for the different finches in the animation. I like how this has turned out and each finch has a uniqueness that will further stand out in the animation. Alongside the close-ups of the birds in the animation, I wanted something else to make them stand out. I changed the colors of the birds to a unique shade, matching their natural color in the wild. The main character Finn however has his own unique colors and patterns to further make him stand out as the protagonist.

I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
