BSW - CAA - Maya Pre Viz Finally Complete!

 Maya Pre Viz Finally Complete!

I have finally completed the pre-viz that I have been working on for the past week. I have really enjoyed doing it and figuring out what will be best for the animation. I have spent a lot of time in the details and movement of the characters in the pre-viz as I want to go into the animation with as much information as I can so I will be at an advantage, not wondering what to do next. I really like how I have done the camera movements in the pre-viz as it fits the cinematic theme that I wanted to portray. I have ensured the camera is in the right places in the scenes, to show the information I want in the scenes.

The sounds were the last thing I completed and have spent a lot of time searching for the ones used however I am not sure whether some will change in the final rendition. I am also not sure if I will add music to the background.

Overall I am glad about the outcome of this pre-viz and am excited to see how it will portray the final animation.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
