BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Bible Story

 Character Bible Story

This is the plot I have come up with for the story of my character bible project.

I will include camera movements in red.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The story starts with static cameras showing the quiet, closed toy shop on a dark night. The camera shows the shelves loaded with toys and overarching shots of the store.

Suddenly a loud bang occurs that echoes through the store.

The bang turns out to be a robber that is trying to break into the shop. The camera switches to a close-up of the main character's head.

The main character opens his eyes and looks towards the direction of the door, acknowledging the intruder.

The camera slowly zooms out to show the main character and the owl side by side.

The duo starts to sneak through the darkness towards the door from their shelf which is at the opposite end of the shop. They come to their first hurdle of the story which is a break in the shelves leaving a chasm-like drop for the toys to traverse. The Owl being the wise one of them both suggests a way to get across to the other side. He says to use the fireman's hose that the main character has on his back to swing across. The main character doesn't hesitate and hooks the hose to a broken nail sticking out of the old shelf. He swings and makes it. As he touches down the waddling owl points out a ladder near the main character and so he lays it down across the steep drop for the owl to climb across. The owl being a soft teddy, loses his balance as he waddled across the ladder and falls! The heroic main character doesn't let this happen and lassos the owl using the hose. The grateful owl praises his heroics and they move on...

Nearing the end of the next shelf closest to the door, the main character is ready to jump down and take on the giant robber himself! However, the clever owl has other plans as he points out that they can use water out the hose to set off the fire alarm which is next to the door. The main character agrees and sets up the small tank of water from his back and takes aim at the fire alarm. Water rushes out of the hose, only to spill on the floor like a dribble... The owl recognizes that they need something more powerful and luckily the toys that they are next to are water gun sets! They unwrap the gun that is double the size of them both and the main character connects his hose to the gun. Using all of his heroic strength the main character again takes aim and shoots the water gun at the fire alarm this time hitting it directly! Alarms trigger throughout the building and the startled robber runs leaving a gust of wind behind him. The story ends with the distant sounds of sirens of the authorities that will never know who saved the local cities toy shop...

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
