BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Race Ideas

 Character Race Ideas

I want to create a unique race of people for my story however I want to keep it pretty similar to the humanoid way of living. They will eat fruit and meat, sleep through the night, work during the day, etc... They will see, hear, taste all like humans too.

I have an idea of what I want them to look like however, the ideas need to be stitched together. I want them to have multiple eyes just like a spider.

I want them to have multiple rows of teeth like sharks, but one sharp and one blunt row of grinding teeth.

Another major thing about the race will be that they do not have any hair, but instead, they all have a completely unique birth pattern covering their head in different ways. Also much like humans, the color of the pattern when born will be bright and colorful and as the race ages the color fades out becoming grey or white. I think this also is a great trait of the race as if I were to take this animation further into a full-on film, then the viewer will get a really good indication of age bringing less confusion and more clarification if there was a larger crowd of the race.

Their ears will be human-like but misshapen and misplaced. They will have no nose but nostrils only in place of a nose. Their mouth I have not quite decided yet, I think they will be the same as a human however they will have the rowed teeth and a sharper looking tongue.

They are going to have a biped skeleton with 2 arms and 2 legs. Their hands and feet will have 3 fingers or toes in a forked shape. They will have a very tapered body, with wider shoulders, thin waist then back out for the hips and legs.

Their skin will be a red hue closer to skin color. Palms of hands and feet will be a lighter hue.

I am not sure about clothes yet and if they will wear them...

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
