BSW - CAAyr2 - Concepts PT21 - Space Station Lobby Concept

 Space Station Lobby Concept

I have been looking back through the work I have completed so far, intending to fill any gaps that I may have missed in my work. I found that I must have been in tunnel vision mode when creating parts of the interior of the ship, meaning I ended up sticking with the very first renditions of the rooms instead of exploring what they may look like in other forms. I also noticed that the lobby area looks very plain and box-like, therefore I have taken some time to complete a concept art for a different style of the lobby.

This one has a lot more originality to it and fits the theme of an alien ship better. There is a central point of the room the reception, surrounded by the check-in points the race will use.

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
