BSW - CAAyr2 - Concepts PT26 - City Plan

 City Plan

I have created an overhead city plan for Ventrical. I found creating this plan was fun but quite time-consuming compared to other concept arts I have done as there was a lot of thought behind it. There are three hierarchies of class as explained in the last post, the slums, the suburbs, and the huge corporations.

The gigantic vein borders the slums and factory that extracts blood for fuel. A wall and a desolate area separate the slum and the suburbs. The suburbs have large open spaces and luxury houses occasionally separated by huge pillars. The corporations connect to the suburbs but loom over them with their highrise buildings. Bordering the city, the large storage vats hold the blood that gives power.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
