BSW - CAAyr3 - Lobe'ous Character Model

 Lobe'ous Character Model

modeling the character of my animation, Lobe'ous, has taught me a lot about my ability to model at the student stage that I am at! I have not needed to use any kind of help by going back to the toolkit videos for modeling JPJ. I was more than happy to do so if needed however, the fact that I did not need to shows me that I have properly taken in information and have learned from those videos allowing me to create a character of my own!

Using the orthographic drawings of Lobe'ous, I have created an accurate representation of the character that I am more than happy with taking to the next stages in the pipeline! There is one small section of the character, the ear, that I am going to enquire about to see what option may be better. I have a few loops that look a bit messy so I want to have another person's opinion on it.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
