BSW - CAAyr3 - Gnomon Research - Pro Creature Creation Pipeline

 Gnomon Research

I have started my year off with something I want to continue with throughout. And that is watching professional tutorials of simply, what they do for a living. This is one that I started with, creating a creature bust from scratch.

It is very interesting to see a different type of workflow than I am used to as I have really only been in the business as a student anyway for only 2 years and have only known a certain way of working. So seeing these people work that have done it for 20-plus years is good for me as a visual learner.

I enjoyed watching and learning from this tutorial as at first glance, the outcome is incredible. It is don't get me wrong, but watching how he got there makes a lot of sense when you see it in action.

I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
