BSW - CAAyr3 - Space Station Exterior

 BSW - CAAyr3 - Space Station Exterior

This is the exterior model for my space station. I have really enjoyed creating the model as I have always wanted to see how I would do designing and modeling a vehicle.

The first image is the original, first attempt at creating the ship. It is pretty good however there were a lot of points on the ship where the edge flow was not good at all leaving a lot of pinching.

The second and third images show the new and improved ship with a really clean edge flow with no pinching and how I want it to be. As you can see from the comparison images there are a few differences between the ships. For example, around the main hull of the ship, the old one has a more geometrical shape, following the shape of the wings round to the engine. But the new ship has a smooth hull, transitioning into the hard, geometrical wings which I think looks really cool.

The last image shows an issue I was having that I did end up solving myself after taking some time away from the scene. I was trying to figure out how to best fill the whole, in the end, I closed it up as if it were a sphere.

BSW - CAAyr2 - Character Design Sub Tasks

Character Design Sub Tasks We were tasked to give character to things that already existed. I was given the Guggenheim museum which is a very unique building already with a lot of character. I have given the prompt military so I thought of hard angles and uniformity, which is something this building did not have... When looking at the building for a while and thinking of the prompt I saw a battleship. With the long platform and the bridge-like feature, I figured that is what I will turn it into. I am happy with what I produced here letting myself be creative and lose which I am working very hard on. The main problem that Justin had with this is that it was unrealistic... It is more of a stylized piece rather than an actual thing people would work on and use, which is fine because it was not specified that realism was wanted. We were then tasked with creating an interior of a character given to us. Mine was an Aztec priest so I started researching what that entailed. They used to ...

BSW - CAA - Finches Concept Art - In progress

Finches Concept Art - In progress I have been continuing the finches piece after the research I carried out and I have finished another finch. I have done this one in a more cartoony style as I am exploring my choices for the animation. It has bold, consistent lines and boxed colours to make it pop and it has a big eye that makes it stand out. As of now, I am swaying towards the cartoon style more as I feel like a video for educational purpose, it will draw more people in...
