  Texturing Progress P1. CryoRoom I have been hard at work the last couple of weeks figuring out the texturing process for my models. After creating the base material in substance designer which you have seen, I have been implementing them to my models in substance painter.  Here are the cryoroom models.

  Rigging and Skinning 2 The next step in the skinning process is the blending of the weights. The basic weight grouping and blending are done, now onto the blendshapes to iron out the collapsing issues.

  Rigging and Skinning I have made a start on rigging Lobe'ous, and it has been going well. I have completed the skeleton and the skinning. I used parts of the old JPJ tutorials to help with some parts however I was confident in my ability to complete the job.

  Texturing Problem When importing my model from Maya, I realized that because of the low poly aspect of the object, it displays as that in substance painter too, which is not the result I want. I want to see what it would look like smooth. I am going to continue into research on how to solve this and I am thinking it will be a case of creating a high poly version of the object and then baking the texture once done, onto the low poly version...

  Texture Testing on S.Designer I have continued the colour part of the process and have also been sure to play around with the original maps to get the best results for the look I'm going for. As you can see,  the difference between these textures and the one in the previous post is very different in colour. This is to match the monochrome red theme of my animation.

  Texture Testing on S.Designer 2 I have been playing around with adding colour to the textures that I have been creating and things are starting to come a long nicely.
